Join The Herd! – Pasture Posts #69

First of all, Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! We appreciate all you do for your family. And thanks to all those who gave the gift of Watson Farms today. We’re honored to be a part of saying thanks to Dad.

If Father’s Day happened to slip up on you this year and you need something last minute let us bring your attention to our Herd Membership opportunities.

One of the best reasons to “run with the Herd” is for the special discounts that we are able to offer this distinguished group. Many times we’re able to offer some small discounts on things like ground beef and whole chickens, but at certain times when we are heavy on a particular product we can offer things like 50% off Brisket and Leg Quarters! You read that right – 50% off our Leg Quarters (including the bundle) and Beef Brisket!

Another huge reason to sign up for a Premium Herd Membership is the Free Shipping that you receive on all of your orders while your subscription is active.

Finally, if that doesn’t win you over then maybe the free Watson Farms T-shirt will. When you sign up for a Premium Membership we give you a free T-shirt with our logo on the front. After signing up for a Premium Membership, just contact us to request a size and color and we’ll get that in the works. We have several colors to choose from so we’ll try to get you something close to what you prefer. (The software integration is currently not functional for this to be self-service.)

If you’re already a Herd Member, then you might want to head over to the Memberships section of your account. You can find the “My Account” link at the bottom of any page on the website. Then click on the Memberships link on the left and after clicking the “View” button then click Discounts. This will show you all the available discounts that are currently available to you.

So when you get a chance, head over and take a look at our two Herd offerings and see if it’s a good fit for you. We would love to welcome you to The Herd!

Shifting our focus now from The Herd to the flock – our chickens have received much of our attention this week as they are the animals most susceptible to the heat. The idea is to spray them with cool water and let it evaporate then spray them again as long as the temperature is above 90 degrees. This works great as long as all the systems, machines, pumps, and tractors work as they should.

Check out the video below showing how we spray the broiler chickens.

Delivery Driver Opening

Do you know someone who might have some extra time each week and would enjoy delivering our products to customers doorsteps? We have some delivery route openings on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Take a look at the job description over on the website and email us at jobs@watsonfarmsbeef.com to get started!

Product Spotlight

We’ve had a lot of interest in bulk purchases lately, and we’ve got a good supply of product in the pipeline. There could be short periods of time that we are out of a particular cut or two, but don’t panic, we will re-stock. Check out some of our bulk offerings below if you’re looking to stock your freezer.

Some cuts that we don’t look to run out of soon are Beef Ribs and Bones. So we’re once again putting them on sale to help us clear some much-needed freezer space.

For some of our recommended products, check out our Featured Product Page.  You might find something that you didn’t even know we had!

Help us spread the word!

It’s now easier than ever to Give $15 and Get $15 through our Referral Program.  We don’t spend a lot of money of advertising, but rather we focus on producing products that people love and are willing to tell others about.  So we depend on word of mouth to find new customers and ultimately to heal more land.

So in an effort to streamline this process we have made it easier to tell others (via email, Facebook, or Twitter) about Watson Farms.  And it’s all automated on the backend, so you don’t have to rely on us to issue the store credits manually.  Just head over to our Referrals Page and start sharing!

We re-use packaging!

We’ve seen a good response to our efforts in re-using packaging! Thanks and keep it up.

You can help us reduce our carbon footprint by returning your CLEAN egg cartons and meat boxes.

The main reason that we switched to plastic egg cartons a while back was because they are so much more durable than paper which could only be used once.  They also protect the eggs much better!

So if you have some egg cartons or boxes to return, you can just place them on your porch on your home delivery day.  Farm pickup customers can, of course, drop them off when you come to pick up your new order.

***We can only re-use OUR cartons or boxes. Please re-use or recycle other boxes or egg cartons elsewhere.***

We redact your personal information found on your meat boxes when we re-use them, but feel free to redact to redact it yourself without damaging the box if you would like.

Thanks for helping us re-use our packaging!

Did you know that we have a webpage that displays all the reviews we have received?

Check it out!

Check out this ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review:

“This place is Brilliant! The best, most fresh pastured meats delivered to your door! We tried a small amount of the pork and beef a couple of weeks ago. It was outstanding! Today I received 1/4 of an entire pig! Yum! 30-40 pounds of mixed cuts and sausage, bacon, ribs and butts. Met the owner and Sam the new driver. Friendly, on time, you can’t go wrong here folks!”

We would greatly appreciate it if you would be kind enough to leave us a review.  It helps first-time customers purchase with confidence.

Thanks again for being partners in this endeavor of local, pasture-raised proteins that has truly transformed our farm.  We look forward to continuing this transition while serving you long into the future.

Sincerely,

The Watsons
