This week’s Team Member:
Daniel Taylor
Position: Fulfillment and Warehousing Manager
Favorite Food: Carolina BBQ
Favorite Drink: Water or Coffee
About Me: I enjoy hanging out with my wife and two kids, reading a good book, woodworking, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and knitting among other things. I am also a soccer referee, so maybe you’ll see me on your field someday.
How long have you worked at Watson Farms?:
2 years
Why do you like working at Watson Farms?:
The farm has just the right pace: there are slower days, and there are quicker days, but it all balances out. I also like that the farm has pretty much become an extension of my family. I can’t say that of every place that I’ve worked, but it’s very much true here.
Anything Else?
When I see your orders come through and I put them together, my mouth usually ends up watering. I hope you all enjoy the end product as much as I enjoy its potential here in the freezers!
Product Spotlight
We processed our last chickens for the year on Thursday!
Our crew is very happy that we won’t be processing anymore until April. The downside is that what we have stored up in the freezer right now is all that we have until Spring. We do have a large amount of chicken stored up, so now is a great time for YOU to stock up on chicken as well!
When you’re shopping for pasture raised chicken, one indicator that points toward a truly pastured product is knowing if the farmer raises the chickens through the winter. In most places in the U.S. pastured chicken does not work well in the winter. Water lines freeze, birds get too cold, etc.
So just know that if we do happen to run out of chicken at some point in the coming months that this is simply one of the tradeoffs for bypassing the industrial confinement model that puts so many costs on the consumer in the form of all the ramifications of a method with so many faults.
For more information about the differences between our chickens and the industry’s check out this blog post from a while back.
If you’d like to stock up on some pasture raised chicken grown the right way, we’ve made it really easy with these chicken bundles!
And for our UPS customers, check out the UPS Eligible equivalents to these.

Check out this ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review:
“Watson Farms is beyond good, they are GREAT! The beef is so delicious and tender. Their pasture chicken and eggs are delectable! Professionally packaged. All meals we make with their meats are devoured immediately. I love their delivery service as well! Once a week I have brought to my door everything we need. Purchasing an additional freezer for their whole cow now! Order with full confidence – bon appetite!”

Tell a Friend!
It’s now easier than ever to Give $15 and Get $15 through our Referral Program. We don’t spend a lot of money of advertising, but rather we focus on producing products that people love and are willing to tell others about. So we depend on word of mouth to find new customers and ultimately to heal more land.
So in an effort to streamline this process we have made it easier to tell others (via email, Facebook, or Twitter) about Watson Farms. And it’s all automated on the backend, so you don’t have to rely on us to issue the store credits manually. Just head over to our Referrals Page and start sharing!
Thanks again for being partners in this endeavor of local, pasture-raised proteins that has truly transformed our farm. We look forward to continuing this transition while serving you long into the future.
Sincerely,
The Watsons
