Pasture Posts #130

Here’s the weekly roundup from Watson Farms and your direct connection to your farmer. Enjoy the latest edition of Pasture Posts!

Farm Update

It is truly amazing the response that we have seen to our Beef Stock Up Event! We have seen record numbers of orders (to the tune of well over 100 orders this past week and the week before). This is a great thing to see, and would have been completely unbelievable just 4 years ago before we made the transition to a completely pasture-based livestock farm.

These orders are coming from both returning customers and new customers alike. We’re thrilled with this as it means that you are generally pleased with the products and services enough to come back and many of you are telling your friends and family about us.

This is exactly the kind of activity we need to make sure that our team stays busy and the bills get paid long into the future.

Speaking of a busy team, we want to say a huge thank you to our hard-working team members that covered for us as our family took a trip to the Outer Banks this past week. Even though Kelly and I still tended to certain tasks remotely, our wonderful team really make a trip like this possible.

Daniel Taylor is our fulfillment manager and did a great job assembling orders, staging deliveries as well as keeping everything else flowing smoothly on the fulfillment side.

Matt Heald did a great job as usual keeping the machinery running, making feed, and so much more that goes on with production.

Juan, Lupe, and Elena also did a great job with everything from tending to the thousands of chickens on the place to all the grounds keeping tasks, and much more.

Thanks to my parents, Gary and June, as well for helping to keep things in order in our absence.

Our delivery drivers, Jordan and Tyler, made dozens of successful deliveries all around the state as they do each week all while operating the vans safely and efficiently.

Lastly, Rebecca Gorham did a great job keeping social media posts active and serving customers through our store front. Sadly, this was her last week with us, and she is due to have a baby soon! We wish her and her family the best! Thanks Rebecca!

We’re so thankful for a dedicated, competent team that we can depend on and trust! Thanks guys!

Beef Stock Up Event!

Take advantage of some of the best beef deals we’ve ever offered!

We continue to work hard to keep our freezers packed with enough of regeneratively-raised 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef. If you’d like a refresher on how our beef is different from the industrial version of beef, check out this blog post from a while back.

We are offering sales on almost all of our beef products including Bulk Bundles (both UPS and Home Delivery). This is significant because these bulk bundles as well as any other bundles are already offered at a discount normally, and during this event you can expect to save another 7% -10%. That makes for some really great deals!

We can’t guarantee how long we’ll be able to offer these savings as it just depends on how long supplies last. Check out the Beef Sale below!

Here’s some deals we’d like to highlight!

  • Brisket – We have plenty of these in stock and we have them marked down 30% off!
  • Ribs – over 40% off!
  • London Broil – Here’s a great recipe that we love and you can save 24% off retail!
  • Chuck Roast – A customer favorite with plenty in stock at 15% off!

Tell a Friend!

It’s now easier than ever to Give $15 and Get $15 through our Referral Program. We don’t spend a lot of money of advertising, but rather we focus on producing products that people love and are willing to tell others about. So we depend on word of mouth to find new customers and ultimately to heal more land.

So in an effort to streamline this process we have made it easier to tell others (via email, Facebook, or Twitter) about Watson Farms. And it’s all automated on the backend, so you don’t have to rely on us to issue the store credits manually. Just head over to our Referrals Page and start sharing!

Did you know that we have a webpage that displays all the reviews we have received?

Check it out!

Check out this ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review:

“I have severe food allergies and have to be very selective on what I eat. Gave Watson Farms grass fed Gourmet Ground Beef and Grass fed Rib eye and Strip Steaks a try. Fabulous will be placing a larger order soon.”

We would greatly appreciate it if you would be kind enough to leave us a review.  It helps first-time customers purchase with confidence.

Thanks again for being partners in this endeavor of local, pasture-raised proteins that has truly transformed our farm.  We look forward to continuing this transition while serving you long into the future.

Sincerely,

The Watsons
