Before we talk about the awesome Chicken Stock Up Event we have in store for you, check out the slideshow below to see some scenes around the farm and what’s been keeping us busy!
Fly trap with mineral feeders on each side: The flies go in the barrel through the side holes where there’s some bait that attracts them. The plexiglass at the top of the barrel fools them into thinking they can only escape through the top. We can move the whole skid all at once so our cattle are getting the minerals they need wherever they are and we are helping to relieve them of biting flies. 
Hot weather means keeping broiler chickens cool with an occasional misting throughout hot afternoons. 
We also keep the pigs comfortable by spraying them down with cool water on hot afternoons. 
This is a field that we are trying to convert to be majority pasture rather than majority weeds and tree saplings.

Getting the bulldozer in position for a pasture smoothing job. 
We had a really uneven area of pasture that needed smoothing so that we could travel over it with the tractor and mower better. 
The dozer does the job nicely. 
A new beaver dam we found recently. We won’t disturb them until they start to flood pasture. Right now they just have the water level up almost up to the top of the bank and aren’t causing any harm.

Here’s a friendly reminder to get your orders in by the deadline. We have changed our workflow some to help reduce errors, so we have to begin the process of staging orders for the next day’s delivery very soon after the deadlines below. Help us serve you better by ensuring your order is placed in time!
Charleston Area: 12 noon Mondays
UPS Orders: 12 noon Mondays
Columbia Area: 12 noon on Tuesdays
GSP: 12 noon on Wednesdays
Charlotte/Fort Mill/Rock Hill Areas: 12 noon on Fridays
Farm Pickup: Please wait until you receive an email stating that your order is ready to be picked up (usually 1 business day from when you place your order). Farm pickup is done during store hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 10am to 6pm
Saturday: 10am to 2pm
Closed Sunday and Wednesday
